Founded in 1904 and headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, USA, the American Concrete Institute is a leading authority and resource worldwide for the development and distribution of consensus-based standards, technical resources, educational & training programs, certification programs, and proven expertise for individuals and organizations involved in concrete design, construction, and materials, who share a commitment to pursuing the best use of concrete.
ACI has over 95 chapters, 125 student chapters, and nearly 20,000 members spanning over 120 countries.
It is truly an International Institute working with the motto ‘Progress through knowledge’ and retains its basic mission to develop, share, and disseminate knowledge and information needed to utilise concrete to its fullest potential.
India Chapter of American Concrete Institute (ICACI)
India Chapter of American Concrete Institute was established on 26th December 1979 by a few enthusiastic concrete technologists to work directly under the patronship of ACI USA for the ‘Development and Advancement of Good Practice of Concrete Technology’ in India.
Today all India membership of the Chapter consists of 2000 concrete professionals and organizations including consulting engineers, concrete practitioners, academicians, researchers, consultants, civil engineers, material scientist, constructors, students etc. Our members are spread all over India and actively participate in all Chapter programmes.
The Chapter has a distinctive performance in organizing seminars, symposiums, technical lectures, meetings and workshops with the participation of specialists and professional bodies. We realize that sharing and exchange of activities, knowledge and information is inevitable for efficient sustenance of the user interest in the field of concrete and also for our welfare. Technical dissemination is the most appropriate method for enhancing our Continuous Professional Development.
